[Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the organisers have postponed this event. The re-scheduled event will be annnounced shortly, watch this space!]
It has been too long. Far too long. The Covid pandemic has made people ill, taken many from us. It has sealed us off from each other. Some joy and hope for the coming year is well overdue. So we are delighted to annouce that Those Nervous Animals will be bringing their customary brand of orgaised anarchy together for a streaming gig on Jan 22 as part of the Andersons Live Streaming Festival. You can can watch on the Anderson’s Facebook stream (later we will explain how you can watch – free – even if you are not on Facebook).
The event will be a celebration of the launch of The Mission Sessions of course, and you can expect us to perform the songs from that set. But what will it be like? Well… From the performer’s perspective, it’s a regular gig. We write out a set, we rehearse the songs, then run the set. We set up our gear and do a soundcheck. We hang around for a while. Then we play. Only difference is we will be doing it remote from you … we recommend stacking up on the tipple of your choice and making a space for leppin’ at the end. Sound by Vinnie Higgins, cameras Colin Gillen. It’s been a long time since we played live, especially with Susan Rowland onboard. All through the lockdown I wondered about the feeling of performing and interacting with other musicians and the audience. This is a hopefully a small step in the right direction and we sincerely hope you love it. https://fb.me/e/WsPcgKR6
